Devoted followers of Ariana Grande are demanding that a man who jumped a barrier and seized the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past camera operators and lunging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a event pathway surrounded by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being detained", though legal records showed that he was scheduled to appear on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed contains recordings of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the area last year.

"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is obviously a legal violation," stated an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Safety

Many supporters accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote one more response on Instagram.

Several fans also criticised security officers at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals demanded digital services to block Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Event Details

In videos circulating online, Grande seemed surprised when she was touched by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of attendees had gathered in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore mall, including several who had queued for as long as eight hours before it started.

The motion picture, to be premiered on 21 November, is the sequel of a two-part interpretation of the acclaimed stage musical Wicked, which centers on the surprising relationship between two very different sorceresses.

The production itself is a spin-off of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of the previous year in the UK, and received ten Academy Award nods, securing a pair for best costume and set decoration.
